How I Can Support You

Support is tailored to where you are in the divorce process and what you need help accomplishing.

Get Financially Organized

Identify and organize accounts, assets, debts, income, expenses, insurance, tax information, and other financial documents so you can see the complete picture.

Understand Your Financial Options

Work through budgets, cash flow, housing considerations, retirement assets, settlement alternatives, and the potential financial impact of different choices.

Prepare for Attorney & Mediation Meetings

Organize information, identify questions and priorities, and prepare for conversations so you can make productive use of time with your attorney, mediator, or other professionals.

Stay on Track

Break the financial work into manageable steps, establish priorities, and get the accountability needed to keep moving when the process becomes overwhelming.

What Working Together Looks Like

  • -1-

Start Where You Are

We identify what is happening now, what information you already have, what is missing, and which financial issues need attention first.

  • -2-

Build Clarity

We organize the information, work through questions and financial considerations, and identify the next decisions or actions that need to occur.

  • -3-

Keep Moving Forward

Between meetings, you'll have clear next steps and accountability so financial tasks don't become another source of delay or overwhelm.

The Questions Don't Always Fit Neatly Into a Legal Meeting

Clients often know they need to make a financial decision but aren't sure how to evaluate it or what questions to ask. We can work through issues such as:

  • — What does my current household actually cost?

  • — What might my post-divorce budget look like?

  • — Can I realistically afford to keep the house?

  • — What financial documents should I be gathering?

  • — What accounts and assets do I need to understand?

  • — What should I prepare before meeting with my attorney?

  • — How do different settlement options potentially affect my future?

  • — What should I understand about retirement assets?

  • — What information am I still missing?

  • — How do I organize everything my attorney has requested?

  • — What financial questions should I be asking?

  • — What do I need to do next?
